This post is a touch of class. Last year I couldn’t even spell “kleroterion” and now I are one! Distinguishing between the different key search words should be indicative of the level of understanding and the progress of our endeavors. Equality-by-lot and/or Election-by-lot should be household words and subject of serious consideration by the elections of 2012 if we faint not and are still able to use the NET.hdh

Hi Harvey,
I wish this were so, but I am afraid this may be a false hope. Unfamiliar ideas – however impeccable – take time to gain a foothold in a person’s mind. My personal experience is that between the time that I first realized the possibility of elections-by-lot (I didn’t know of the term “sortition” at the time) and the time I became a committed supporter of this idea years passed.
This is a long term campaign – and quite likely a very long term campaign. But, of course, that does not make it any less worthwhile pursuing.
Happy holidays.
